Freestyle The part of a dance in which no lesson is taking place when you practice what you have learnt, dance the moves you want to dance and generally put into practice what you know.
Return Put at the end of a lot of moves and is an anti clockwise turn aimed at countering to many clockwise turns see Turn and Return
Flickspin Usually the man throwing his right hand over to the right at waist level and letting go of the ladies completely so that she spins in front of him. (A similar action to throwing a Frisbee for example)
Clockwise Turning to your right. Your right elbow goes backward and your left shoulder goes forward
Anti Clockwise Turning to your left. Your left elbow goes backward and your right shoulder goes forward
Ball and Socket Grip This means that the ladies make a fist, usually with their right hand, and the men cup their right hand over the top of it. The reason for this is that, on certain moves, it will stop the ladies fingers getting bent backward when she is spun by the man.
Half Nelson This means that the arm is bent behind your back in and "L: shape with the lower part of your arm across the small of the back. The Half Nelson is used by both men and women and uses either arm.
